48 hours in Düsseldorf : K20

The spectrum of my knowledge of art after the 19th century is very small. Visits like these are perfect to expand that knowledge. I came across some interesting artists which you can see in the following photos.

K20 is a museum in Düsseldorf that focusses on the art of the 20th century. The visit started with an exhibition that focusses on the collection of Konrad Fischer, he was an art collector. There were some fascinating pieces on display, such as the grand sculpture of Carl André, Daniel Buren, Sol Lewitt and many more.

The permanent collection amazed me the most, there were some artists present that have always spiked my interest. Such as Francis Bacon, Max Beckmann, Joseph Beuys, Pablo Picasso, Ludwig Ernst Kirchner, the list goes on and on. Here are some of the photos that I made.

Düsseldorf isn’t one of those places that you would think of when it comes to cultural places, but you should definitely include it into your next roadtrip or plan a citytrip! Enjoy!
