I am a little bit obsessed with art, museums, travelling and books.
I started this blog because of my unstoppable urge to write and investigate. Since a few years I’ve developed a passion for writing, more particularly, writing about art. In high school I studied art for five years, after which I enrolled in the university life as an art science and archaeology student. This is when I started writing about the exhibitions I visited, it gave me an extra push to expand my knowledge and the way I interact with art.
During my years at university I started missing the time to draw, to create something. So after getting my bachelor degree I decided to go to Sint-Lukas Brussels, this is where I started in September (2016) as a fine arts student.
What’s the goal of this blog? To document every interaction that I have with art and make it a bit personal by including my own artistic practice. I can’t imagine the one without the other, visiing museums help me to get inspired to create.
After graduating from uni, I thought it was time to explore the world outside of my studybooks. These books were filled with photos of art pieces and everytime the same thought crossed my mind ‘wouldn’t it be nice to admire this piece in real life? To have a real tête à tête?‘ I decided to explore the art world outside of my books and travel to wherever I can go to see every piece ever made.
It’s easier said than done, since I am still a student there isn’t much time to travel. There’s so much to see, so much to discover and so little time. I hope you stick around to follow my adventure!
